Pipers Day Nursery, Chorley

Pipers Day Nursery

Pipers is the longest standing nursery in Chorley with an established and highly qualified team of early years educators led by passionate and experienced managers. It is situated in Chorley town centre in a Victorian property giving it a wealth of history and a home from home feel.

At Pipers we are committed to providing a high quality service for children and parents where care and education go hand in hand. We believe children will only realise their true ability in a happy, relaxed, safe and secure environment.

The nursery is divided into three age groups, the Rainbows (under 2 years), the Sunflowers (2-3 years) and the Honeybees (3-5 years). However, we value children as individuals and children move rooms with developmental progress rather than being a specific age.

Pipers are currently working towards The Curiosity Apporach accreditation.

Rainbows Room

The Rainbows room is a bright, airy room where your inquisitive babies and toddlers can explore through play and interaction with a highly qualified team of staff, with enhanced training to work with babies.

The Sunflowers room is a fully self-contained room with lots of exciting and attractive areas to entice your little ones and feed there emerging imagination.

Honeybees Room

The Honeybees room provides a positive, caring and friendly environment for children to play, explore and learn the all-important skills for the best start in life.

Our Healthy Eating Scheme

The food we eat fuels our brain! Research suggests that nutritious foods can help the brain function and create better focus as well as helping to support the immune system.

It is our priority to provide freshly prepared, home cooked, healthy nutritious meals and snacks each day. A great deal of care is taken to develop a healthy, well balanced and tasty menu for our children. Planning this draws on guidance from the Eat Well Start Well and the Governments under  5 menu planning guide.

Our menus rotate every four weeks to ensure our children have a good variety of foods and flavours. We use local produce, meat from the butchers, seasonal fruit and vegetables and omit salt from our cooking. All dietary requirements are catered for. We are proud of our food hygiene rating of 5 (Very Good)

Our mealtimes are an enjoyable social occasion with opportunities to encourage communication skills and language development. Children are actively encouraged to participate in meal times and will help to set up the dining tables, serve their own food and pour their own drinks.
